I'm Max.

My life and work have been shaped by a deep commitment to art, community, and the relationships that sustain both. I work as a photographer with artists, creative businesses, and restaurants throughout New England, creating images that reveal identity, atmosphere, and presence. Art has the capacity to reveal what might otherwise go unnoticed, and to create meaningful connections between individuals, ideas, and shared experience.

Education is central to my life and practice. I view it not simply as instruction, but as participation in a living community of artists, thinkers, and makers who sustain and influence one another across time. Through teaching I contribute to a broader network that supports creative growth, mentorship, and opportunity. These relationships extend beyond the classroom, forming lasting connections that continue to shape how we see, create, and engage with the world. This same commitment to listening, trust, and shared inquiry shapes how I approach my work with clients. I see each collaboration as a process of understanding, one that begins with careful attention and develops through open dialogue.

My commercial practice is grounded in these values. The most effective images do more than describe a subject. They reveal its character and create a lasting impression. Whether working with restaurants, creative businesses, or individuals, my goal is to understand what makes each distinct and to create images that communicate that identity clearly and authentically. These images help organizations articulate who they are, connect with their audience, and distinguish themselves in a crowded and competitive landscape.

I create imagery for artists, creative spaces, and restaurants throughout New England that reveals the character, atmosphere, and identity at the heart of what they do. My work is grounded in careful observation and a deep respect for the people, spaces, and stories I photograph. The most compelling images do more than document a subject. They reveal its essence, allowing others to see and feel what makes it magnetic.
